See What Develops

September 19th, 2009

I developed a couple of rolls of photos I took early this Summer, and seeing them is kind of a closing to my time in Tyler.  It almost makes me miss our little apartment and our hummingbird feeder that only fed bees.  It definitely makes me miss the trip I took to Austin with my mom, which is where I took most of the photos I developed.  But I am very excited for Fall, soon to be here, and am very much enjoying my stay in Lubbock!

Our friend gave us this hot air balloon bird feeder as a apartment warming gift.  We never saw any hummingbirds, but the glass made pretty light designs in our bedroom in the afternoon.

When me and my mom were in Austin we stayed at the Driskill.  The hotel itself was lovely, but the smell, oh my gosh… best smelling place I’ve ever been in my life.  If they made a candle that smelled like the Driskill they would make a fortune.

Everything at the hotel was soft and comfy.

If you had looked at the patio of our old apartment you would think we were chain smokers.  Nope, we were just lazy.  The matches and ashes accumulated for a year before they finally got dumped.

While in Austin me and my mom went to the capitol building.  It was pretty and all, but the thing we were obsessed with was the door hinges.  They were super detailed for being such a small piece of decor.

If you’ve ever been to Austin, you know there are guitars all over the main tourist areas painted in different colors.  This one was definitely my favorite!  Last time I was there I didn’t see this one, and I was totally drawn to it.  I’d love to design an outfit based on this guitar.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

New Mexico Pictures!

March 18th, 2009

For spring break this year me and David were invited to stay at a friend’s grandma’s cabin in Ruidoso, New Mexico, with 6 of our friends. It was amazing! It didn’t snow until the third day, so we got to see the mountains look pretty without snow as well as with snow. All in all it was just a great trip… and I pet a deer! More pictures below!

Blue Owl Vintage

March 14th, 2009

I briefly noted that I’ve been interning at Blue Owl Vintage this semester, but I didn’t really show any pictures of how cute it is!  Here are a few pictures from my home away from home three days a week.

Some Cruise Pictures

March 5th, 2009

Holy sheesh, I’ve just been reminded how long it’s been.  Here are a few picture from my early graduation gift, which was my familia going on a cruise that hit Mexico, Jamaica, and Grand Cayman. We had a tonnnnn of fun and ate way too much food.

If you didn’t guess, the top picture is of my parents, the right picture is of David under an umbrella in Jamaica, and the and the bottom left is of me and David (me giving quite a cheesy fake smile) on the boat.

The top picture is my parents, my brother, Brandon, and his girlfriend, Whitney, and me and David.  We did quite a bit of drinking on the boat, haha.  It’s funny to be able to take a shot with your family, haha.  Any we did quite a few :) .  The right picture is of me getting eaten by a stingray!  The bottom right picture is one David took while snorkeling, and it looks just like the moon!  It’s really underwater :) .

This weekend:  homemade chocolate peanut butter recipe!
