A Nine to Five Table Setting

June 22nd, 2009

My mom, no exaggeration, probably has about 20 sets of placemats, napkins, and tablecloths.  Every holiday or event at my parents’ house has a different extravagent table setting inspired up by my mom.  I get random texts every once in a while out of the blue saying things like “what do you think about putting the ______ placemats with the ______ plate chargers?”  She is seriously hilarious and super creative.  For Father’s Day she folded the napkins like neckties and used folded up newspaper as a psuedo placemat.  When we were at ikea the other day she bought a bunch of small ramekins (with the butter in them) and she HAD to use them, I know it was eating her up inside with the same anxiousness I get when I’ve bought a new outfit.  The last touch was glasses we got from Royal Carribbean when we all went on a cruise together a few months ago, to make the table a little more fun.

Isn’t it adorable?!  She comes up with the cutest things :) .

*note: if you want to recreate this table, make sure to use a dark colored tablecloth!  It you use a light one the ink might rub off of the newspaper and stain it.

New Blog!

May 13th, 2008

Hello there darlings,

If you’re reading this, you’ve discovered the new blog! I put it up last night and have imported all of the entries from blogspot. And school is out so I’m super duper ridiculously excited to be working on the site and making things and all of that fun stuff.

The new site will be up on thursday! It’s actually ready right now, but I said the 15th, so the 15th it is. Also, I still have quite a few things I have to take pictures of and make pages for.

I hope everyone treated their mothers great on her special day :) . Here’s a picture of my adorable mom.

If you’re reading this, leave me a comment so I know you found your way over here!
