Making My House Smell Clean

August 7th, 2009

I just moved into my new house (!!!) and it still has a little bit of a residual funky smell from the previous owners, as well as being vacant for a little while.  I wanted a way to get the dryer sheet smell around the place as quick as possible, so, using hair ties, I put them around all of the ceiling fans.  It made the place smell great!  WAY faster, cheaper, and more effective than a candle.

    Hey Tara!
Lovely to meet you! Thanks so much for stopping by and for taking the time to comment on my blog! I’m somewhat new to blogging, and I don’t think very many people read it, and certainly even fewer ever leave comments, so it’s really nice of you to chime in. Then, of course, I found my way over here, and I love your blog — your fashion posts are wonderful and I absolutely love how you’ve turned vintage finds into fabulous outfits! I’m so happy to welcome you to Lubbock!

ps: I won’t be at First Friday Art Trail in September (next Friday), unfortunately, but do stop by and see me in October! I’m at Alderson Mercedes, every month.

    Well…I have to say…not as pretty as a candle…!

But I guess you’ll take the sheets off as soon as the good smell has spread!!

    Good idea!

How stupid! Just put your scented candle or incense beneath the fan…no need to stand on a chair or ladder or look for rubber bands. The fan distributes the scented air from an air freshener plug in too!

the method i like to use is putting a drier sheet behind the filter in my vacuum.

why not just burn some white sage? that will get rid of all the negative energy in the house as well as absorb all the odors…and it is inexpensive.

in our place, the weather could turn out to be uncomfortably humid that is why we bought an air conditioner at home to reduce h*~,
