Meep

May 16th, 2010

So obviously I haven’t updated this in two months.  Oops!  The last month is completely because of my crazy finals schedule, but before that I just… I guess I feel like I have changed a lot in the last few months and somewhat regret not documenting it but I’m mostly happy with my decision.  This post is going to be very rambly, so you might choose to skip it if you have no interest in my personal life!

As anyone in my real life knows, me and my very long term boyfriend broke up a while ago.  I was a complete disaster zone for a couple of weeks because we had lived together for quite a while blah blah I thought I was going to marry him yada yada.  So anyways, after I got over the initial shock and awe I started to realize how unhappy I was.  We had comfortable, routine love, and I don’t think that’s something I ever want again.  I want someone who makes me a little crazy sometimes, someone I can’t predict, someone who changes [in good ways] all the time so that I can do the same.  And it wasn’t necessarily that HE was ohsoterrible or anything, I just realized I had become this completely submissive person.  Someone completely comfortable not trying new things or doing anything spontaneous and any shred of creativity I had went completely missing.

So it has just been a very happy transformation back to the person I have always been in the past, someone positive and creative and a little vulgar and very silly and kind of weird and outspoken at the randomest of times.  But I have been unsure of how I want to approach this blog.  Whenever friends in real life talk about visiting my blog and talk about my outfit or a craft projects I get really flustered and embarrassed and I don’t know why because I am proud of most of the things I post on here.  So I need to… work on not being so self-conscious about nothing!

Sorry for the ramblings on and getting 500 times more personal that I usually am, I just felt like explaining why I haven’t posted at all and such!

Um… in other news, I have brown hair now!

C is for Cats

January 24th, 2010

(cat painting)

It was months ago when I started doing alphabet posts, and I only did two before deserting the blog for the entire season of Fall.  So… finally another alphabet post.  CATS.  I don’t even really like cats, but I like watching cats do stupid things, pictures of funny cats, and people who obsess over their cats.  And cat fashion.  So here goes :].

Who in the blogsphere WASN’T obsessed with this vintage cat bathing suit from nasty gal last summer?  Answer: no one.

If you didn’t adore the Hello Kitty Mac ads from way back when… you probably suck.  They looked like little stacks of adorable kitty cupcakes.  mwah.

Apparently the newest name in crap-that-makes-animals-look-stupid is CAT PAINTING.  As in… Painting cats to look fricking sweet/ridiculous.  I found this by accident when I searched “cat painting” on google, and boy, talk about a treat.  You must look at the rest of the photos.

Whenever I am feeling exceptionally sad, I look at memebon and everything is instantly better.  Cutest fricking kitty on the planet.

Lastly, I am a huge sucker for cat youtube videos.  From left to right, BURGER AND FRIES, cat adoption ad gone wrong, cat massage, and one of the many talking cat videos.

Hope you all had/are having a good weekend :].

Alphabet Soup: B is for Barbie

July 3rd, 2009

I loved looking at the fabulous pictures from this Barbie fashion show.  No such thing as too much pink :) .

I haven’t played foosball in years, but I’d play it every day if I had a table like this!

I think Barbie would probably love this funky couch as much as I do.

Alphabet Soup: A is for Aviation

June 27th, 2009

The costumes in The Aviator were so glam.  I love Cate Blanchett’s huge bow.

Am I the only person who didn’t know Amelia Earhart was a complete fox?

If I wore glasses (and had QUITE a bit of spare change) I would definitely sport the black persol aviators.

Luella makes aviation look fashion forward, but you can get this look for less.

Here is my aviator inspired look from polyvore.  Info here.
