Etsy and Bottle Koozies

So I was going to post these sweet bottle koozies I’ve been working on lately on etsy, but for some reason Etsy won’t load at all for me!  Is anyone else having this problem?!  :( .

I’ve been rather neglectful of my shop lately.  The reason behind this is that almost all of my sales end up going through etsy anyway.  I like having the shop at tulipsociety because I like to have things very organized and the program I use is really good at that.  But on the other hand, I think people are a lot less trusting of it and would rather go through a place like etsy where there are steps they can take if their order isn’t received.  So… chances are I’m going to go strictly through etsy sometime in the near future.  That is, if I can get etsy to load, haha.

ps.  new Britney album is fricking sweet.

Woodgrain!

So my woodgrain obsession has been made quite apparent in the new shop and blog layouts, but now I’m branching out and putting woodgrain into accessories! My collection of woodgrain goodies will be up in the shop soon :) .

New tattoo and new shop

I got a tattoo on my hand :) . I’ve been carrying around this picture of a cupcake for over a year and just haven’t decided where to put it. I finally decided on my wrist and changed the picture a bit. I wanted it to show, but be coverable, so I figure it will be fairly easy to cover with a watch or thick bracelet. I went down with my mom today, she got a new tattoo as well. Mine’s all swollen and gross looking right now, but here it is:

My only problem is that apparently hand tattoos can get really spotty because people are always moving their hands around, so I’m going to have to try to not type or knit or paint or sew or play cards or ANYTHING with my left hand for a few days, which is going to be fairly hard for me. Especially since I have a screen I set yesterday and was planning on screenprinting some stuff today :-/

I’m normally not into high school drama TV shows, but I was pretty must addicted to Gossip Girl this season. My heart was hurt when Dan and Serena broke up last night :( .

Oh yeah, I also redesigned the shop last night and like it a lot. I liked the look of the old design, but the clutter was just getting to me so badly I couldn’t stand it. So now it’s very very simple.

Headphones, eyeslipsface, and the shop!

So I’m a complete sucker for the overpriced accessories and do-dads at urban outfitters. Usually I see them there and then find them on amazon.com or somewhere else for cheaper. I adoreadoreadore these headphones from urbanoutfitters.com. I am almost convinced I want to purchase them even though I really don’t have much of a use for them. My mom hired me and my boyfriend to decorate my cousin’s house for his birthday and my half of the money is really burning a hole in my pocket.

I also bought a set of makeup brushes (as well as a couple of lipsticks) from eyeslipsface.com and can’t wait to get that stuff. To me it just seems way way too good to be true (everything is a dollar), but my friend ordered some stuff and said it was pretty good. I really just can’t wait to get it so I’ll know whether I should be recommending it to other people, hehe.

I must say, I’ve been a complete bum today. I spent the morning with my boyfriend watching Flight of the Conchords and since then I’ve just been finishing up the site to put up (!). But… it’s ready! I didn’t get to make as many things as I’d hoped (I figured a few weeks would be enough time to make quite a few new things, but I didn’t take into account finals week), but I’m still really excited. New Blog!

Hello there darlings,

If you’re reading this, you’ve discovered the new blog! I put it up last night and have imported all of the entries from blogspot. And school is out so I’m super duper ridiculously excited to be working on the site and making things and all of that fun stuff.

The new site will be up on thursday! It’s actually ready right now, but I said the 15th, so the 15th it is. Also, I still have quite a few things I have to take pictures of and make pages for.

I hope everyone treated their mothers great on her special day :) . Here’s a picture of my adorable mom.

Horrible Blogger and Thrift Hits

I’ve been up to no good lately, but I have quite a bit of disposable income via Christmas and good grade bonuses (long story). This disposable income is being spent on a) my trip to Ohio next week b) stuff to fix up the 60s schwinn bike my boyfriend got me for christmas (!!) and c) doing a bit of clothing shopping.

Today I stopped by goodwill to drop off a garbage bag full of unloved shoes from the back of my closet and was happily surprised when I found this sweet jewelry (below), two cardigans, a cordoroy dress that needs some hemming, and a Dior sweater. The Dior sweater was originally for my boyfriend, but I tried it on and realized it fit me better :) .

I adoreeeeee the cameo bracelet and the gold/silver flower necklace, though I don’t feel the flower necklace was well captured in this scan. I’m probably going to break up the pin up girl bracelets when I figure out something to do with them, but as of yet I have no ideas.

Also, I apologize that I’ve been an absolutely terrible blogger as of late, huff. I did have finals last week, which were very very important (and I got 5 As and 1 B!). This week, though, I haven’t really been up to too much, I’ve just been anti-computer.
